Reading and Writing(RW) section

The Reading and Writing Section contains 54 questions divided into two equal-length modules of 27 questions each. Students will have 64 minutes to complete the RW section. This time is split evenly between the two modules, so students have 32 minutes to answer the questions in each module. The RW score ranges between 200 and 800 points.
Questions on the Reading and Writing Section represent one of four content domains:

1. Craft and Structure: Measures the comprehension, vocabulary, analysis, synthesis, and reasoning skills and knowledge needed to understand and use high-utility words and phrases in context, evaluate texts rhetorically, and make connections between topically related texts.
2. Information and Ideas: Measures comprehension, analysis, and reasoning skills and knowledge and the ability to locate, interpret, evaluate, and integrate information and ideas from texts and informational graphics (tables, bar graphs, and line graphs).
3. Standard English Conventions: Measures the ability to edit texts to conform to core conventions of Standard English sentence structure, usage, and punctuation.

What is Multistage adaptive testing in Digital SAT?

Each test section begins with a set of questions from the first module that students must answer. Students can demonstrate their progress with this module's wide range of easy, medium, and hard problems before moving on to the second module. Based on how test-takers perform in the first module, the questions in this second module are generally tailored to the test taker’s level of achievement; questions in this module are either (on average) more difficult or less difficult than questions in the first module. As a result, the exam "adapts" to show questions that are more appropriate for the student's level of performance.

Is the use of calculators allowed on the Digital SAT?

Yes. On the Digital SAT, students are permitted to use specific calculators to answer questions in the Math section. On test day, students may use their own approved calculator or the graphing calculator built directly into the testing application. There's more to bringing your own calculator to use throughout the Math section than just making sure you have a fresh set of batteries.
Calculators permitted during testing include most graphing calculators (click on https://satsuite.collegeboard.org/digital/what-to-bring-do/calculator-policy to get the list of calculators allowed on the Digital SAT)
