Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national level entrance examination for entry into management programmes. Till 2018, it was conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) every year as per the directions of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. The Test will now be conducted by the NTA. The CMAT is a three hour computer based online test which is conducted in a single session to evaluate the candidates ability across various segments like Quantitative Technique, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness.
Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is an online computer-based test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), India. It is a national-level admission test for facilitating institutions to select suitable students for admission in all management programmes approved by AICTE.
It is mandatory for a final year student, who is provisionally considered eligible by the MBA/PGDM institute and offered admission, to submit the mark-sheet and degree certificate of the final year bachelor's degree examination by the date prescribed by the college/institute.
CMAT score is calculated by scoring the candidates on each question. Given below is the marking scheme of CMAT 2020: For each correct answer 4 marks will be allotted. ... The total score will be calculated by totaling marks gained or lost in each question.

Every section has 25 objective type questions. Overall there will be 100 questions of 400 marks. Exam taker will be awarded +4 marks in CMAT Exam for every correct answer and -1 mark is deducted for each wrong answer. CMAT exam is an online computer based test.
CMAT is of low difficulty level exam as compared to CAT exam. CMAT has 25% negative marking while CAT has 33% negative marking for wrong answers.
Candidates who wish to appear for the Common Management Admission Test must check the CMAT eligibility criteria 2023 which includes the academic qualification and the marks scored in the qualifying exam.
You can attempt CMAT exam any number of times. However, score of the last CMAT exam will be taken into account at the time of admission.
