The PTE (Pearson Language Test) is an English language assessment test for non-native English speakers. The test is administered in association with the world’s largest examining body Edexcel. There are three types of PTE level tests which include PTE General, PTE Academic (launched in 2009) and PTE Young Learners.
There is no specific age limit or prescribed qualification for taking the PTE Exam. It is practically open to everybody who wants to take it.
To complete a PTE Academic test, you will need to attend a secure Pearson test center. You will use a computer and headset to listen to, read and respond to questions. During the three-hour test session, there are three main parts to the test: speaking and writing (together), listening and reading.

In order to take the PTE Academic test, the candidate must be at least 16 years old. Candidates below 18 years of age need to take a parental consent form signed by either parents or guardians before taking the test. Candidates can download the consent form from the official website of the PTE Academic Exam.
There is no limit by Pearson as to how many times a candidate can give the PTE Exam 2023. Candidates can take the exam with a gap of 5 days. So, candidates can take the PTE Academic exam as many times as they want.
You may retake PTE Academic as many times as you want, although you must wait until you have received your scores from one test before booking another. Institutions will not see your scores unless you allow them to by sending your scores to them via the website.
The standard PTE Academic exam fee is Rs 13,300. In case the candidate is booking his PTE exam within 48 hours of the PTE test date, the candidate would be required to pay the PTE Late Booking Fee of Rs. 13,965.
