ACT 2020 Entrance Exam

The ACT is an entrance exam used by most colleges and universities to make admissions decisions. It is a multiple-choice, pencil-and-paper test administered by ACT, Inc.

The purpose of the ACT test is to measure a high school student's readiness for college, and provide colleges with one common data point that can be used to compare all applicants. College admissions officers will review standardized test scores alongside your high school GPA, the classes you took in high school, letters of recommendation from teachers or mentors, extracurricular activities, admissions interviews, and personal essays. How important ACT scores are in the college application process varies from school to school.

Overall, the higher you score on the ACT and/or SAT, the more options for attending and paying for college will be available to you.

Who Can Take the Test?

As per the guidelines regarding eligibility criteria of ACT, people of all grade levels are eligible to appear in the ACT. Even the students in grades 6, 7, 8, 9 and high schools are also eligible to appear in the test.

Why Should I Take the ACT?:

ACT is a good value because it offers a college admissions test, college course placement, and a career planning component for one modest fee. And you can make yourself visible to colleges and scholarship agencies across the country by taking the ACT.

ACT Eligibility Criteria - When Should I Take the Test?

Ideally, the candidates should pick up a test date that is at least two months ahead of the application deadline of the college. The sores of ACT are reported 2-8 weeks after the test date. And registering for a date ahead of the admission ensures that by the time of admission you will have your scorecards.
