MICAT is the mandatory entrance test for admission to PGDM programs at MICA Ahmedabad. It is a Computer Based Test (CBT) and will be conducted twice for selection of PGDM-C and PGDM 2023-2025 batch.
MICAT exam is slightly different from most of the MBA entrance exam patterns. It has three different sections, namely- Psychometric Test, Section A (Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability, General Awareness and Divergent-Convergent Thinking) and Section B (Descriptive Test).
the CAT, CMAT and IIFT exam fee for Reserved category students is 50 per cent less than that of the fees for General category students; but the exam fee of XAT and SNAP exam is same for all students. On the other hand, in private MBA exams like SNAP and MICAT, there is no reservation of seats.
The score obtained individually by a candidate in a particular sub-section of MICAT-I/ MICAT-II, e.g. Verbal Ability will be converted into a Normalized Score. Scores shall be normalized using appropriate statistical methods by considering scores of all qualifying candidates up to the stage applicable to the candidate.

Test takers can pay MICAT registration fee through either net banking or debit/credit card or through cash.
MICAT exam is conducted in two phases. MICAT I which is held in December and MICAT II which is held in January.
Candidate must have a bachelor degree of minimum three years (10+2+3 system) from the recognized university. Candidates appearing in their final year of graduation can also appear in the entrance exam.
The tentative MICAT cut-off by experts should be around 45-47 marks.
MICAT does not consider performance in CAT/XAT/GMAT either for the purpose of shortlisting for GE-PI or for the purpose of computation of composite score.
