Essentially the recruitment in bank sector happens at the following levels:
1. Bank Probationary Officer (Bank PO)
2. Bank Clerks
3. Specialist Officers (SO)
Following banks are the main bank which is recruiting regularly over the years –
State Bank of India, Reserve Bank of India, NABARD, SIDBI PSU Bank: Allahabad Bank, Andhra Bank, Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Bank of Maharashtra, & various other banks.
Securing a Bank Job and getting placed in the Banking sector has been one of the most sought after career streams for more than a decade now. Lakhs of aspirants appear for Bank Exams like IBPS PO, IBPS Clerk, IBPS RRB, SBI PO, RBI Grade etc. to get placed in one of the reputed banks of the country every year.
Recruitment in government banks is generally done in three stage recruitment process.
First two phases are written test, which is called Pre and Main; and the last stage is the interview process. Shortlisting of candidates is done at each stage – Pre, Main and Interview
Final merit list is prepared on the basis of marks in Mains and Interview (Weightage: 80% Written Test & 20% Interview).
